About
Joshua Boyd is a life-long musician who has studied Byzantine chant for more than 25 years.With a background in classical music, he first began chanting in 1999. Since then he has had the privilege of chanting under and along-side masters of their craft such as Fr. John El-Massih, Lefteris Chasanidis, and Samuel Herron.He is currently the Protopsaltis of St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church in Jacksonville, FL. From 2012–2022, Joshua led the left choir as Lampadarios of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Atlanta, GA.Joshua holds a BA in Religion and currently teaches privately in Jacksonville and online through his ήχος Byzantine Chant Studio.
